So I went Gemucon this weekend, over in Nottingham. This was the first time I had sold my art at a proper convention and I was such a nervous wreck the day before and was all like 'OMIGODHOWDOIEVENARTANYMORE,NOONEWILLLIKEME,WHYDIDIEVENTRYANDDOTHIS!', but do you know what? It actually went really well! Everyone was super kind to me, and nobody told me I was an awful artist and a horrible person like I had imagined the few days before hand. I feel genuinely surprised at how well received my stuff was, and all the other artists were so kind and chatty too (I'll link them below). So overall I have to say it was a massively wonderful expereince, and one I'd very much like to repeat

So now to sort out Ayacon! YAAAAY! But I deffinately would have been a pile of nerves the whole time If I didn't have my best friend Anee helping me out the whole weekend. That woman is a godsend, so thank you again if you ever read this XD

Other updates from my life:
As some of you might know, I'm in my 3rd year of my Bsc psychology and sociology degree, which means I have a lot to hand in in a few weeks (3,500 word essay on 'The Shining', a 3,000 word essay on technology, a 1,000 word essay on a presentation I had to give, and a 100% exam on psychology, all due in on the 22nd and then I have my dissertation hand-in on the 23rd, so you can imagine how busy I am XD) but I came to realise, I just really didn't want to leave Keele. It's now as much a home to me as Hinckley is. So I decided to stay on and study Clinical research psychology at Master's level. I got my offer back a few days ago (just need to get a 2:1) and I've accepted, so this is the beginning steps to get into a doctorate so I can have a fancy title of Dr.Sheppard....sounds so weird! But anyway, that's pretty much all that's been happening with me lately! Wish me luck with the work though, I need every little bit!

Here are the artists I mentioned:

This is Sam Webster, a wonderful chap who mainly draws in a comic book style, and is a really, really talented guy. Had lots of fun chats with him over the course of the weekend, and all Ican say is he's a top guy, with top artwork ^^

This is Sarah Childs who had her lovely other half Dean helping her out. She's a very talented young lady with an adorable art style. She had lots of variety within the things she draws and is a top notch portrait artist to boot! We totally had a laugh while chatting and whatnot, and it was brilliant getting to know them

There was another lovely lady, vikki gray, but I can't seem to find her DA page. As soon as I can, I'll update this post ^^But while I'm at it, I'd like to give a big thank you to

who has been wonderfully supportive of me while I get into this whole anime convention jazz and answered all my questions as well as teaching me new techniques via her live streams, so THANK YOU SO MUCH
ASDFG! Couldn't have done it without you ^^

Oh, before I forget, you can also follow me on Facebook (

I also sell T shirt designs over at RedBubble (

Okay, so gushing over! Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings, and have a good day ^^
